We are pleased to inform you that a refurbishment / renovation of Vivanta by Taj Bentota, Sri Lanka has now been finalized. The hotel rooms, public areas such as the lobby, lobby bar, all day dining (Coffee Shop), pool, banquet hall etc. are some of the areas included in this proposed work plan.

Please note, the resort will continue to be in operation with a limited inventory during this period as the refurbishment/ renovation will be done phase wise commencing 15th January 2012 until 31st October 2012.

ROOMS

Phase I
70 rooms of the resort will go through a soft refurbishment commencing 15th January 2012 until 15th May 2012. This will be done by taking 20 rooms out of the inventory at any given time, refurbished and be released for sale as new rooms prior to taking the next set of 20 rooms. Hence, 140 rooms will be available for sale during this period.

Phase II
From15th May to 31st October 2012 the balance 90 rooms of the resort will be taken together for a complete renovation to be ready by 1st November 2012. The rooms, bathrooms, balconies etc. will go through a complete change as per the renovation plans of the mock up room which is presently available at the resort for inspection if required. During this period the resort will have 70 refurbished rooms in operation for client stays.

THE LOBBY
The work in the lobby will commence on 15th February 2012 and is expected to be completed on 15th May 2012. The lobby will be to go through a few changes giving it a complete new look making the arrival experience even better than what we offer you at present. The main lobby of the resort will be closed during this period. Arrangements have been made to offer our clients an arrival experience with check-in / check-out facilities arranged at a separate location by the beachside and adjacent to the present banquet hall of the resort.

LOBBY BAR
The lobby bar will go through an extensive renovation and will be closed from 15th February 2012 until 15th May 2012. The resort will move the bar to another location within the resort so that our guests can continue to enjoy a drink and relax until such time the new bar is ready for operations.

ALL DAY DINING (COFFEE SHOP)
Proposed work period 15th January 2012 until 15th August 2012. The Coffee Shop (All Day Dinning) will be transformed to be one of the finest such outlets to be found on the Southern Coastal belt in Sri Lanka. During this period the main banquet hall of the resort will be converted to an all day dining restaurant.

POOL
The management has decided to reduce the depth of the pool to be in line with internationally specified standards and guidelines. The exact dates of this renovation work in the pool is expected to be post April 2012 and will be notified to you later.

BANQUET HALL
The banquet hall refurbishment will commence post August 2012. The exact dates will be notified later.
